The DEAN Bridging the Gap implementation team brings together partners from high school, college and community partners who support students in college enrollment, persistence and completion. The team works together to “bridge the gap” by providing opportunities for these partners to work together, creating a feedback loop that connects practitioners with the information and resources they need to better support students through the transition to college and through to college completion and workforce opportunities.

This work culminates in an annualĀ training event (Bridging the Gap) that brings high school counselors and community organizations that help students navigate the college-going experience directly with college staff to provide critical information and solicit feedback about the challenges students face in college enrollment, persistence and completion.

The DEAN DREAMer Support Action Team brings together direct service providers who work with undocumented students to help them enroll, persist and complete college. The Action Team has created the following resources for undocumented students interested in or currently attending college at the Auraria Campus (Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and University of Colorado Denver).

Senior staff from the three Auraria Campus institutions (Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and University of Colorado Denver) collaborated to organize and host the 3rd annual Tri-Institutional Advising Summit in February. Almost 100 advisors from the three institutions came together to hear about statewide goals and initiatives, as well as learn about the work these institutions are doing with DEAN to build academic and career pathways, strengthen cross-institutional advising and transfer support, and utilize shared technology in improving student persistence and completion through transfer.
